Matetsi River House

A villa on the Zambezi

On the banks of the Zambezi River, at the heart of a 50,000-hectare private reserve, Matetsi River House is the private villa of the Matetsi Victoria Falls lodge. It comprises four beautiful suites and a splendid deck overlooking the Zambezi with a private swimming pool, lounge and outdoor dining area. The suites boast a very mineral style, featuring concrete, natural grey stone, African fabrics in anthracite tones and the omnipresence of wood. They are spacious and beautifully decorated with local works of art. Matetsi is the ideal starting point for tracking elephants, buffalo, lions, leopards and cheetahs on 4x4, walking or canoeing safaris, accompanied by a private professional ranger and tracker who have a thorough knowledge of the fauna and flora. In the evening, you can enjoy the sunset from your private deck where your private chef will whip up a tailor-made dinner for you.
