    At the heart of the Northern Cape province, on the edge of the legendary Kalahari Desert, nestles the private lodge of Tswalu Tarkuni at the foot of the Korannaberg mountains. This splendid villa accommodates up to 10 guests. Conducive to peace and contemplation, it is a delight for families or small groups seeking authenticity and personalised attention. The villa is situated within a huge private reserve of over 1,000 km², dedicated since its acquisition in 1999 to the rehabilitation of the Kalahari. With 5 superb suites in shades of beige, a lounge with a fireplace opening onto nature, a dining room, a library, a covered patio and an outdoor swimming pool, the lodge also offers the privilege of a chef at your disposal and a private 4x4 vehicle. Tswalu is experienced as a return to basics: dinners under the stars, visits to Bushman archaeological sites, learning about San culture, and taking part in conservation activities. Thrilling safaris by 4x4, on foot, on horseback or in a hot-air balloon will enable you to discover the reserve's flagship species: black-maned lions, little meerkats, desert black rhinos, wild dogs, and graceful cheetahs.
