&Beyond Benguerra Island

Benguerra, pearl of Bazaruto

Benguerra Island, a tropical paradise in the Bazaruto Archipelago, is home to a magnificent lodge of the same name, offering a dozen beach bungalows decorated in the most romantic ethnic-chic style. Each villa unfolds its charms facing the Indian Ocean: airy mosquito net, shimmering bedspread, multicoloured rug, retro bathroom... Benguerra is an island 11 km long by 5.5 km wide that offers a wealth of deserted white sand beaches, freshwater lakes populated by crocodiles, forests of tropical trees, extraordinary diving spots and 140 species of birds, which earned it the status of a national park in 1971. The lodge offers 3 types of exotic villas with private pools, from the small cabana, through the more opulent casinha, to the luxurious villa, offering 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a pool on the teak deck, a private chef, private garden and beach. The advantage of Benguerra is its size, which allows for a variety of enriching and truly refreshing activities.

STYLE

The lodge has a contemporary colonial-style touch.
