    Savuti, right by the channel

    The Savute Channel, known for its hippo-filled waters, has progressively dried up over the last thirty years to become a legendary hunting enclave for numerous predators. Savuti Camp and its 7 luxury colonial tents stand, as the name suggests, on the very banks of this channel, offering one of the rare water sources in the dry season. During the dry season, the waterhole located directly in front of the camp becomes a major attraction for all the surrounding wildlife. It is a prolific region made famous by the bed of the Savute Channel, which resembles a long ribbon of tall grass—an ideal refuge for herbivores and a popular rendezvous for predators in search of fresh meat… Savuti Camp offers a luxurious and relaxing stopover with 7 tents set on wooden platforms facing the channel, featuring refined interior design with colonial and ethnic touches (a large bed with an airy mosquito net and a bathroom with copper fittings). The 4x4 or walking safaris organised by the camp will introduce you to a colourful and vibrant nature. NOTE: Children accepted from 6 years of age.
