    Little Mombo, animals galore

    Little Mombo, known for having the best safaris in Botswana, is located in the heart of the Moremi Game Reserve, north of the largest landmass in the Okavango Delta. The number and variety of animals that can be seen throughout the year are phenomenal, and dramatic hunting scenes sometimes unfold right in front of one of the camp's 4 tents! Little Mombo Camp is an extension of Mombo Camp, situated on the same land in the very heart of the Moremi Game Reserve, north of the tip of Chief Island. Set in the shade of trees, facing vast floodplains, it offers a permanent spectacle of wild animals parading before your eyes. This region is renowned in Botswana for having the densest concentration of game, and therefore predators, particularly lions. Television crews often come here to film, so surprising is the concentration of animals. Little Mombo features just 4 tents decorated in a chic ethnic style, from where you can relax under cover with your binoculars to catch a glimpse of a lion, or perhaps even 10. It offers the same high-quality facilities as Mombo Camp, including a lounge, dining room, boma and infinity pool to complete your stay in the Okavango Delta. Note: Children are accepted from 6 years of age, but there are no family tents.

    THE EXTRAORDINARY

    From Little Mombo itself, you simply need to wait patiently for the animals to appear and, with a bit of luck, predators such as lions, leopards or cheetahs, and sometimes even servals or side-striped jackals, tracking herds of buffalo, impalas or zebras. Not for the faint-hearted, because big cats in action make for a striking experience!

    Little Mombo Camp is tackling several initiatives simultaneously: - Rhino reintroduction projects and genetic studies of the delta’s lions - Operating entirely on solar panels - Greywater recycling - A 75 per cent reduction in plastic (drinking water produced on site) - Use of biodegradable detergents (dishwashing, laundry, personal care products)
