    Jao had a makeover at the end of 2019

    Jao Camp is an ultra-refined camp on the western edge of the Moremi Game Reserve, right in the heart of the Okavango Delta. Jao welcomes its guests in 9 sumptuous tents on stilts, each enjoying a custom-made ethnic decoration. The safari activities on offer are rich and varied: mokoro, motorboat, day or night 4x4, guided walk or fishing. Jao Camp is located on a large, isolated island in the private concession of the same name, on the western edge of the Moremi Game Reserve. With varied landscapes ranging from narrow waterways to immense lagoons and the drier Kalahari grasslands, Jao offers a wide range of land and water safari experiences, depending on water levels. The camp has 9 vast and splendid tents, boasting personalised chic ethnic decor, with an authentic wooden deck featuring an outdoor shower, hammock and sala. You will have the opportunity to admire large herds of red lechwe, certainly followed closely by lions. And to recover from your excitement, we recommend a dip in one of the two infinity pools or an open-air massage facing a dreamlike panorama. Note: Children accepted from 6 years old, but family tent available.
