Santani

Living in harmony

Santani Wellness Resort & Spa, a true sanctuary of wellbeing, has opened its doors on a former tea plantation in the very heart of Sri Lanka. The concept is simple and revolves around the pursuit of harmony. Restoring internal balance is made possible through 4 pillars: a transcendent natural mountain environment, bold minimalist architecture, tailored wellness programmes and bespoke fresh cuisine. The eco-resort welcomes guests into 20 wood and concrete chalets with a streamlined design to limit any futile distraction and allow the mind to free itself by embracing the rolling landscape... The hotel spa has been built over three floors from natural rock, inspired by Buddhist meditation caves, and blends seamlessly into nature while offering transcendent views during an Ayurvedic or detoxifying treatment, or a yoga session. Santani is a "regenerating" destination for anyone wishing to regain their harmony in a unique, end-of-the-earth setting...

ETHICS

Santani Hotel has adopted a philosophy of sustainable development by recycling, replanting vegetation, and producing its own fruit, vegetables, herbs, tea and coffee, grown in its greenhouse on the estate. There is no air conditioning; the stilt structures and underground spa allow for natural ventilation, eliminating the need for electrical machinery.
