    Churchill Wild is a family-run business; it is the only company in the world to offer small-group experiences in the heart of the wild Arctic to track polar bears on Hudson Bay and observe wildlife throughout the year. Hudson Bay is world-renowned for its thousands of polar bears and the Northern Lights. From October to November, the polar bears wait for the ice to form on the shores of Hudson Bay so they can move out and hunt seals. You can set off on an expedition alongside professional guides to observe them, as well as all the surrounding wildlife such as Arctic foxes, wolves, moose, caribou and numerous birds. Between January and March, a completely different, almost surreal natural spectacle awaits you with the viewing of the Northern Lights. Then, during the summer, you can also experience a totally different adventure: swimming with pods of beluga whales. To have a front-row seat, you can stay in one of the 4 intimate and exclusive ecolodges run by Churchill Wild: the North Knife Lake Wilderness Lodge located in the heart of the forest, while the Seal River Heritage, Nanuk Polar Bear and Dymond Lake ecolodges are all three situated on the shores of Hudson Bay.

    THE EXTRAORDINARY

    The remoteness of the ecolodges along the Hudson Bay coast makes it possible to observe untouched wildlife in a unique and pristine setting. No other place in the Arctic is home to such a diversity of wild species. Land mammals include the moose, black bear, grizzly bear, wolf, fox, wolverine, and many others. Marine mammals encompass the beluga whale, seal, and, of course, one of the most accessible concentrations of polar bears in the world. The ecolodges are located directly on the path of these bears during the time they wander the coast in summer and autumn.

    Churchill Wild is heavily involved in environmental protection and is considered an important ambassador for the protection and preservation of Arctic wilderness areas. In addition, Churchill Wild has implemented an ecological approach by using recycling, solar energy and composting systems, and by using only biodegradable products, in order to minimise their carbon footprint.
