The Extraordinary
The concept "Built around, not beside": the hotel was physically constructed around its Academy. Interaction is the true luxury: guests are invited to share their skills (English, swimming, or know-how) with the students, transforming the stay into a human experience where one doesn't just visit the island, but participates in the future of its youth.
ETHICS
NIHI Rote embodies a regenerative vision: energy is sourced from solar panels, single-use plastic is banned, and water comes from rainwater harvesting and local wells. The social impact is significant, thanks to scholarships and excellent training for the youth of Rote and East Timor, in collaboration with the 1996 Nobel Peace Prize winner, Mr. José Ramos-Horta.
