    AT THE HEART OF THE GREAT MIGRATION

    In the north of the Serengeti, one of Africa's most fabulous parks, Lamai stands atop a hill amongst the region's characteristic kopjes (boulders). Perfectly integrated into the natural geometry of the site, the lodge's 12 rooms invite guests to enjoy sensational views over the golden plains of the Serengeti whilst guaranteeing comfort, light and privacy. This privacy is further enhanced by the division of Lamai into two separate lodges: the Main Lodge, featuring 8 rooms, and the Private Lodge with just 4 rooms, designed for a highly exclusive safari experience. Whichever lodge you stay in, you will enjoy a lovely dining area and an outdoor swimming pool to refresh yourself between game drives. From July to October, the plains around Lamai become the playground for the Great Migration and teem with wildebeest, zebras, antelopes and predators that have come to join the feast. From November to June, the magic of the Serengeti continues to work, with sightings of lions, leopards, elephants and even the elusive rhinocerous. In addition to traditional 4x4 excursions, Lamai offers walking safaris in certain seasons, a genuine opportunity to experience the heart of the Serengeti differently!

    THE EXTRAORDINARY

    Lamai Lodge has taken advantage of its privileged location, perched on a kopje, to offer its guests the luxury of seeing without being seen. Each of the rooms blends seamlessly into the landscape while revealing incredible panoramas of the Serengeti plains. Between July and October, you only have to travel a few kilometres to reach the Mara River and observe the immense herds of wildebeest and zebras bravely crossing the river. The Serengeti at its most spectacular!

    ETHICS

    Nomad, as well as designing ecological camps, supports numerous projects through its Nomad Trust for the conservation of animal species and the sharing of adventure with local communities. In the Serengeti, Nomad takes part in the FZN Desnaring Program, run by the Frankfurt Zoological Society, which aims to combat poaching, notably by collecting traps set by poachers. As a result, more than 8,500 traps were neutralised in 8 months...
