    Kalahari: The Call of the Desert

    Kalahari Plains Camp is an intimate camp of 8 luxury tents, offering an exciting and original extension to an Okavango Delta safari. Located in the north of the immense Central Kalahari Game Reserve, it offers a fabulous desert experience in a remote and peaceful environment away from the hub of the delta. Kalahari Plains Camp has discreetly pitched 8 delightful Meru-style tents, raised 1 metre off the ground to make the most of the breeze and the breathtaking views over the Kalahari Desert. This region is the setting for fabulous wildlife sightings between November and April, as the rains bring life bursting from soil thought to be entirely arid, drawing immense herds of antelope followed by a cohort of predators such as lions, cheetahs and hyenas. Kalahari Plains Camp provides the ideal setting for relaxation after intrepid walking or 4x4 safaris and offers the chance to get to know Bushman culture, the mythical people of hunters and gatherers. Note: Children accepted from 6 years old.

    Electricity and hot water at Kalahari Plains Camp are generated by solar energy, and the tent canvas has been chosen from insulating materials to intelligently withstand wide temperature ranges. The camp ensures that the benefits linked to ecotourism benefit the local Basarwa populations.
