Lion Sands Ivory Lodge

IVORY LODGE

Lion Sands is a private game reserve enjoying a strategic location in the south of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, bordering the Kruger National Park. Lion Sands has developed 4 exclusive lodges on its land, including Ivory Lodge, which was completely renovated at the end of 2016 and welcomes guests to 9 contemporary villas featuring a most refined, sleek design style. Lion Sands is a Kruger private reserve whose history dates back to the 1920s. It is the only reserve in Sabi Sand to benefit from direct and privileged access to the Sabie River bordering Kruger. With its 10 km of private riverbanks, and a highly professional safari philosophy, it is a unique starting point for exploring South Africa's largest park, covering over 20,000 km². Ivory Lodge comprises a superb main area with a bar, lounge, library, dining room, viewing deck, wine cellar and spa. However, the lodge's ultimate appeal lies in its 9 sublime villas (including one family villa) consisting of a large bedroom with en-suite bathroom, a deck with a private pool in the centre and a lounge with a fireplace on the other side. The chic, minimalist decor, as the lodge's name suggests, plays on a subtle contrast between ivory white and ebony black, the colours of the nation.
