Xigera Safari Lodge

Kee Jera, the kingfisher

Situated in the heart of the Okavango Delta in Botswana, Xigera Safari Lodge is the result of an impressive renovation of a former safari lodge, and is the newest property of the Tollman family, renowned South African hoteliers at the head of the collection Red Carnation. The property reopened its doors in January 2021 in the west of the Moremi Game Reserve with a lodge entirely redesigned by the top artists of the African continent. 12 suites, bearing the names of native plants and trees of the delta, each boast their own style and colour scheme, reflecting the plant after which they are named. The experiences on offer range from the water, by mokoro or motorboat, to land, by 4x4 or on foot, and in the air, by helicopter or by stargazing at night. To perfect your experience at Xigera, you will appreciate the swimming pool, yoga classes, gym and treatments at the bush spa.

Children accepted from 12 years of age.

THE EXTRAORDINARY

On the 1st level, a bathroom; on the 2nd, a bedroom with canvas walls; on the 3rd, an open-air platform where you will dine by candlelight and sleep under a billowy mosquito net if the challenge takes your fancy!

ETHICS

From energy production to the elimination of single-use plastics, environmental concern and local community empowerment are a priority in every aspect of the lodge's operations. Notably, Xigera has installed a massive photovoltaic farm for its energy needs, a geyser operating system for hot water, a composter for organic waste, protection for the large trees on site during the renovation, a wastewater treatment system, a drinking water plant, and more.
